Kickstart Engineering restrictor
Hey guys,
My first post on here so hello! I recently picked up a K6 Sv650 (my first "proper" bike) and need to restrict it to meet A2 licence requirements. Just wondering if anyone has any experiencing fitting the kickstart engineering throttle restrictor, if its a simple process or if I should pay to get a mechanic to fit it. I can see where the bracket fits on under the throttle cable bracket when I look through the frame of the bike, its just the removal of the airbox and potentially throttle body that I am unsure of. Thanks! Matt |

From memory, it's quite simple and you can leave the throttle body on.
I imagine the most painful step in the process is parting with £50 to buy a small piece of metal.... http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...ps4hyxjuda.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...psls8rmajo.jpg |
Re: Kickstart Engineering restrictor
Perfect, yeah well it was better than £180 for the FI Internetional one! So I just need to look at removing the airbox then, that's where I got too and though mm I don't want to screw anything up.

Got it fitted, there was something above where the restrictor sits on my throttle body that was a nightmare to manoeuvre around but all sorted!

Yeah...they're a bit of a pig to fit, but a bit of patience and magnetic screwdrivers help.
Glad you got it sorted. |
