Hastings Direct (How many days to recieve Insurance through post?)

Hi, has anyone recently bought Bike Insurance from Hastings Direct?
Just wondered how many "Working days" it took to recieve the insurance through the post?
Because I paid online and they only sent me an email confirming that I'd paid. I was hoping they'd email me some kind of "Cover Note" that I could print off.

(You'd expect nowadays to recieve a cover-note online after paying. :-|)

a printout cover note would be no good for taxing the bike anyhow, should take no more than 3-4 days for you to get your doc's, its a funny time of year with the post so u could ring them or just wait a few days more. how long had it been?

I'm sure that they sent me my cover note within 2 days. In fact I think it turned up next day, but don't quote me on it.
If you ring them, if my claim is anything to go by, they will tell you it's in the post :smt076:smt076 They have been saying it for 2 weeks now. I told them that they needed to buy themselves some new pidgeons. They didn't find that very amusing.

I know it's been Easter weekend, and I only paid for it on Saturday.
I was just curious.

The Insurance certificate I was sent for my XT600 when I insured it was only a black and white print, and it wasn't even printed straight on the paper (printed on the wonk).

I just bought my first SV on Thursday. I had customer service e-mail me a cover note within a few minutes at the dealers e-mail address. It took 15 minutes max and I got my bike taxed with the printout. So, I think if they are going to be too much longer, just ask for an e-mail for the time being.

If you've got a reminder in the post, just tax it online, only takes a couple of days to come.

Don't need a cover note then as I think the DVLA checks the insurance database.
