You may want to consider slightly longer braided lines ( may be spongey at 9 years old) if you want all adjustability these bars can give you and check free play in the switch gear cables at full steering locks, or otherwise going back to stock bars ( little weight saving).

Yes I would like to go back to stock bars, I have now got some coming so these risers are up fro grabs. PM me.

Tonights work:

Removed Meta alarm, however:
Most wires were obvious in function and easy to work out the removal of.
BUT there are four wires now left dangling, they are all black with small gold mark on them.
There are two connections coming from the fuse box at the rear and from the small clear plastic block with many other indicator wire connections.
The other two come from somewhere in the main body of the bike.

Anybody with a haynes manual or other tell me what the black and small gold wires might be?

(PS the starter motor did run after alarm removal BUT there was still a "Check" message on the dash and the bike did not run, two possibles: side stand not fully down (Should it be down or up?) due to abba stand and the fuel tank may be empty!!)

Otherwise not much to report, front headstock stand arrived and works great. Makes fork jobs much nicer!
Still waiting for hyperpro springs to arrive along with the air filter and zx10 shock.
Also on its way should be a gsxr race seat to see if we can make that fit!

Thanks for looking. Sorry no pics!

I have a spare set of clip ons for sale if you are interested. Mine is a K3, but I fitted a riser bar for hooligan appeal!
:D

A little more done tonight, test fitted the zx10 shock, fits very nice but I need to shorten the bottom bolt that I'm using for clearance on the links (Which are the nice shiny bits hanging down). And a washer perhaps to stop the shock bottom from swinging side to side a couple of mm.

Also removed the stuff off the raised bars ready for switching back to stock ones.

You can also see some idiot still in his work clothes cleaning the swingarm... wonder who that handsome devil could be??

It'll be great fun on the track, what plans do you have for the front end? Any?

Nice project. Think it's a K4 btw :)

Front end will be limited to spring swap for hyperpros, hopefully braided lines too.
Hoping to stay within minitwin regulations should the road take us that way!

DarrenSV650s:
It could very well be a K4, it was apparently registered early tho, I think November 2003. Which bits are K4 specific?
