What has been the other party's response and outcome of the situation when people have used this letter?

It has a good track record hence it has been stickied. Of course, each case is different nevertheless, nothing ventured/nothing gained etc.

Guys

I have just submitted a version of this letter to my solicitors after a recent filtering accident. I looked at the Highway code on-line and the chapter numbers and some of the wording has changed so please do the same research before you submit your letter because it needs to be as topical as possible to be relevant.

The original post is 4yrs old and they do updated the Highway Code from time to time.
Also i know when ive cited the Highway Code before its been made clear that contravention of most of the Highway Code means nothing sine its simply a suggested code of conduct and very little of it is actual law.

I'd be very interested to know what your solicitors response was to it Ratty.
