Servicing?

Hi all, new biker, was going to hold out but just got a good deal curtesy of this forum :D
Got pretty much all the service history, the 2001 k1? curvy had it's 15,000 mile service last year and has done a further 5000. Should I get a service done immediately? Or could I wait off till summer and the overdraft is a bit lighter?

Cheers.

Oh, and a great forum here, thanks to the hosts.

Do it now!
Will be a couple of weeks wait for a dealer service in summer!

It'd be overdue anyway now wouldn't it? I don't know what the intervals are, but I'm sure they're not 5000 miles.

so it your self (or pay me to do it!) now

I would get it done now, as Northwind says its overdue

I get my Curvey serviced every 4000 miles as per recommendation of the mechanic at my dealer. But I think the official interval may be 3500 ?

I thought it was 4000 miles or 6 months (whichever comes first :?:)

Yep.

And i was told by the dealer that it was 3500 or every year, whichever came 1st.

IIRC for the curvy it's comlpetely half-a**ed, something like 4000,4000,3000 with a big service every 12... But that could be all wrong. I just do big big small, big big small, every 3500-4000, and it's not melted yet.

Oh don't remind me! mine is due for her first "biggie" and new tyres!!!Ouch and double ouch! :? :)
