Is there a low mounted GP/ stumpy exhaust for curvy SV?
I have been searching all over the place and have a seen a few fuzzy pictures but are there any good/ affordable small silences that can mount near the swing arm on the curvy SV. Sorry if there is a post on this but I could not see one.

Re: Is there a low mounted GP/ stumpy exhaust for curvy SV?
Companies like Black Widow, Delkevic, SP Engineering and others all do short (200mm) stumpy cans with GP-style exits. There are quite a few cheap Chinese exhausts too which can easily be mated with the standard curvy headers, using a link pipe.

Thanks Craig,
Do you have to trim the link pipe to suit? All the ones I have seen when I try searching seem to hang low down off of the rear peg hanger? |

Thanks Riff,
That looks good. Is there any way it could have gone lower and less far back or would it start getting in the way of your leg? Cheers, David |

It might be best to do as I've done and then address changing it after-the-fact as it will give you an idea of what could be done. All the bits were pretty cheap off eBay so re-modifying shouldn't be hard :) |
Re: Is there a low mounted GP/ stumpy exhaust for curvy SV?
Having it lower and more towards the first peg would surely mean the silencer wouldn't be supported?
You'd need to find another supporting bracket to hold the can. Which might prove to be a bit more problematic than the original support. I'm sure it can be fabricated though. |

It's a conundrum isn't it?! which is why I like to think about this stuff before doing anything. Maybe triangulate off of the front peg fitting?

Yeah if it can hold a persons weight I am sure you can attach a Can link to it.

Food for thought. Just need to get executive approval on my project (my wife ;-)) and then I can get to it. I suppose one of those really stubby little pipes (looks more like an exhaust trim than a can) would be too loud?
