Exhausts
I was talking to my uncle the other nite about getting a full system for my sv.
He was telling me that theres no point because i wont gain any extra BHP He was convinced that i'll loose power rather than gain it I find this hard to belive, because ive always read/been told that with a better flowing zorst and the correct card set up you gain power Does anybody fancy giving me some advice.....please :D Cheers Ian |
Re: Exhausts
I don't think you'll get a huge power increase from a full system. You'll prob have to get the bike dynoed and rejetted to see a gain of only a couple of horses.
I fitted an aftermarket slip-on exhaust and got the fueling done which gave me a couple more bhp. I wanted the exhaust for the looks and sound mainly. I'd look at get a bigger bike if I wanted more bhp, though a nice exhaust or full system sounds great on the SV. HTH |

Im not after power, just want a nice sound insted of the tractor noise i get now. lol

Re: Exhausts
Yep, you'd get a bit of power but it's really expensive for what you get... Fitting one without rejetting/remapping would most likely cost you power. A slipon really makes more sense unless you're really going for it power wise (because a full system is really a requirement to make other tuning work worthwhile).
