Carlsberg Rideout Recce - wed 6th may

Spoken with davePreston on the phone about the recce, the forecast is looking shiiit for this afternoon so we've agreed to postpone it till next week - possibly wednesday subject to dp's work schedule :) For anyone who want's to tag along, you've now got a weeks notice to get in on the act. Recce on wednesday afternoon and then if anyone fancies it, head to squires for a greasy burger/cuppa tea/diet coke etc... As it stands the route is looking something like this - Carlsberg Rideout Route Map 116 miles, 3 hours 16 minutes. Petrol station & various fast food outlets at the start of the route, and another petrol station at the end where the a59 crosses with the a1237 york ringroad. Theoretically we don't need any stops at all since I managed the route on a "big thirsty thousand" and dave almost made it all the way back to preston :joker: but it's nice to have a chat and a bit of banter somewhere along the ride - so we'll work out a convenient place. Dave has asked me to lead due to my "superior machine control" and "charming riding style" :p I'd be chuffed to lead my very first rideout along such an amazing route. Should have seen this on LastMinuteRideout.co.uk I always try and look on that web site last thing at night...! maybe next time fella's. |

The 2nd recce has been scheduled for today since last week Richie, sorry mate :( been tied up over the wknd so only been able nip on the forums via phone..

aye no worries mel :) popped into work for a few hours as it didn't look like the weather was gonna clear over in york. Will get back home for lunchtime-ish and see what its like, then go from there.

I think I have jamaican rabbit flu or whatever it's called and the weather looks shizzle for wednesday, but I'm doing the recce no matter what...
Looks like it's going to be an afternoon ride so if anyone is free wednesday aft and would like to tag along, give us a shout |
