I'm sorry, never had a TD before, was looking for a day to do one. How much will it cost and will I need any special insurance? I knowledge on engines is purely theoretical and I will need some advice as I've never done this in my life! Is the 29th a bank holiday? Where is this track?

The 29th isn't a bank holiday (you don't need practical knowledge of engines to work a calendar) and Cadwell Park is in Lincolnshire, near Louth (you don't need it to work Google either).

You don't need insurance - half the bikes at a trackday will never see the road, let alone have an MOT, tax or insurance - you just need a roadworthy bike, suitable riding gear (lid, leather gloves, leather boots and a full set of leathers that zip together all the way round), and a full (unrestricted) licence.

If you want a bank holiday trackday, at somewhere more local for you, then No Limits are doing one at Donington Park (near Derby) at the end of May for £139.
