About 30s into the ride home my pinlock decided to do the complete opposite of its job. I had the visor open but the rain was stinging my eyes...so had to pull over, and lob the insert. That process took about 16 hours becuase I was wet and rushing, then had trouble getting gloves on again.

Caught you up, but I was already soaking wet and cold and I wanted to get home ASAP, so I tossed legality and sensibility out of the window and just full throttled it.
:D

Ah that explains the mysterious disappearing Hongman :D

We didn't hang about, when you lit the blue touch paper we were just warming up. Takes us oldies a bit longer to get into our stride

I arrived home at about 3.30pm after stopping in Leicester to gossip about my eldest daughter with her mum :-) The ride home was uneventful, and I'd dried out completely because the rain stopped around Sheffield.

Thanks have to go out to Dizzy, Orose and anyone else involved in the organisation - you all did a brilliant job and the whole weekend has once again boosted my thoughts towards my fellow motorcyclists being the best people on the planet.

Ah that I know you dont hang about ;) But I was riding like a **** to get home and I didnt want any orgers to see my naughty side.

I have now discovered a slight hesitation on in 6th at 11,500rpm, used to rev to 12k before  Time for a major strip and service methinks.

Got back at about 6.
Had a fair run back just had faff with the tent.

Just had showers and did part of the AR route reversed and it was stunning.
Massive thanks to Dizz, orose for putting the AR together this year.

I'd love to do the entire AR route in the dry - those roads would be amazing.

Reckons I will have to sort a trip out with some Yorkshire lot!

I would think tom and I will have been home before most of you emerged from your tents this morning (not fun) I hope the 6.30am departure didnt disrupt anyone (we did push the bikes out to the road to minimise the disruption my apologies if we failed).

Thanks all for the great weekend, and special thanks to all those who put the effort in to orgaising the whole event.
I think I've just about dried out finally but it was worth it too once again put new faces to known names, along with catching up with a few ugly faces I could have gone without ;)

(I'm pleased to announce My speedo cable has now been repaired, and my iphone is drying in a rice bag on the radiator - I have the apple logo on the screen so there may be life still left in it).

take a bowl of uncooked rice... chuck said wet phone into rice- make sure its completely covered and leave for 24 hours... the rice will absorb the moisture out of the phone.. (not to sure the heat of the radiator would be good for it?) the rice method has worked for me a few times

Next time I'll bring a bag of rice for my boots and shove some down my boxers too
