Route ideas?
 

Hey folks

Planning a wee trip with a couple of mates in August, and looking for ideas on which route to take, I've not really done all that much 2 wheeled touring, so turning to you guys for advice!

We have a destination in mind (Skye) and we have a weekend for running there and back. were leaving from Fettercairn/Laurencekirk area. looking at getting a airbnb or something on the west cost for Saturday night

thoughts?

was thinking about going north over the cairn then up the old military road and along to ballater first, then either down to braemar, or north to grantown-on-spey.

either that or go grantown on the way out then come back the southern route and then upto braemar?

don't want to camp this time, but we are at the TT next year, so definitely need to get some motocamping practice in (i need to get my pannier brackets made up!)
