Manchester to Bala

As the title says, I'm going Manchester to Bala by the A56 and A494 for fun on either Saturday or Sunday mostly depending on weather.
By the looks of things, weathers meant to be crap on Saturday, so I guess Sunday it is.
Not gone for any rideouts with people other than with my mum and stepdad whilst I was on my restricted GPZ, with them on an R1 and
ZX14. So I thought now would be a good time to start and be nice to ride with someone who doesn't get bored riding at a pedestrian ton!
Anyone's obviously welcome to join :)

I am still (just 1 more month!) in the 33bhp club. Just so you know. I don't crawl around corners so it shouldn't matter - besides, the bike's
fast enough for an immediate ban even with the restriction.

If you can't come but do want to go out for a ride, pm me or put something on here, always up for a journey!
Also any advice on my journey welcome, any nice spots to look out for, or if speed cameras are particularly bad, well hidden etc.

Morning - afternoon. I never really plan what time when I go by myself so I usually set off maybe midday so I can get lunch there.

this sounds like a great idea, I need to find time to get out on the bikes more.

Add a few details on timing etc as we get closer, I may well join you if you dont mind.

If you fancy a slightly more fun route than just using the A494, try this: http://goo.gl/GwrOiZ

I might join/meet up if I can whatever you end up doing, depends on other plans, but I need to start using the bike more!

I would be heading from Wallasey and so would need a meetup point somewhere around Chester, or Eastham etc.

That's a nice looking route!
I was mainly going for the A494, (and trying to avoid the motorway :smt015 ) and was just keeping the mileage down. Done 2000 miles
in the last 6 weeks and the greedy bas***ds are still charging me full price for petrol :smt120!
But then I'd only keep it shorter if I was by myself.

I was planning on passing through / around Chester so that could work out good.
I'd rather do Saturday, but the weather forecast has chosen for me, Sunday it is!
If anyone who wants to come has other commitments, then say now about a preferred time but otherwise... I guess 11am maybe?
What do you guys think?

I quite fancy it but I'm away this weekend. I have tweaked your return slightly to include a couple of more interesting roads (IMO).... If you going another day, give me a shout on here.

Looks great!
I'm still finding my feet with which roads to go on around here, I know most good roads in Norfolk. Had lots of fun in the peaks, now for North Wales. Soon after the Dales!

Shawthing, flymo and christopher, up for Sunday then?
And anyone else if they read this and last minute think go on then.
So we could have two meets, first at Altrincham then Chester?
Any preferences on time?
