Route to AR09 from A12

One of the more straightforward routes to the AR is via the A12, although there is a way in from the A13 and A130 via South Woodham Ferrers. I don't know that way very well but Supervox does so maybe he can add to this thread.

However for those of you coming from the A12 this is the simplest way in (not the quickest necessarily, but the simplest). I've also been round this morning to stick up a few signs. So...

Take Junction 18 off the A12 onto the A414 to Maldon.

Go through Danbury, straight over a few mini-roundabouts, for about 3 miles.

At a large roundabout (known as Oak Corner) go straight over (second exit), signposted to Purleigh and Lathcingdon (B1018)

Go for about 4 miles (through Rudely Green, Purleigh) until you get to a large T junction. Turn right here, sihnposted to Burnham (B1010)

After about 2 miles you come to a double min-roundabout. Turn left here on the first mini-roundabout, signposted to Latchingdon.

After about 2 miles you go through Latchingdon and come to a mini-roundabout with a small church on it. Turn right here, signposted to Burnham-on-Crouch and Althorne.

Travel for about 1.5 miles (going past the Crouch Valley Motel on the right where a couple of people are staying).
Just past the village sign for Althorn turn left on a right hand bend.

The Huntsman & Hounds is on the left just down this road (Green lane)

CM3 6BJ.

Hope this helps
