Ride today (Mon 8th)
 

I know this is very short notice.
I'm off for a ride this afternoon.
Leaving Marple (Stockport area) at about 1230.
Heading to New Mills, Whalley Bridge, Macclesfield via te Highwayman, up to the Cat and Fiddle, then on into
Buxton. Down the A515 to Ashbourne then on to Matlock via Carsington Water.
Having a brew and a chat in Matlock and then back to Ashbourne and up to Buxton. Back to Whalley Bribge via Long Hill and then home.

Anyone fancy joining me?

I will be checking the forum on my iPhone when I stop, so we could meet up somewhere on route.

Didn't quite go to plan.

I got to the petrol station in Whaley Bridge and realised I had an oily boot. Turns out there was a slight leak from the timing case cover. Not a bad one, but enough to possibly make it dangerous.

Rode home and sealed it up with liquid gasket and topped up the oil.

No more leak and it only lost about 50ml.

By the time I got it sorted, it was too late to do the full run, so just went up Long Hill, into Buxton and over to Leek, then came back and went over the Cat and Fiddle. Noone was there so I carried on into Mac, then headed home via Whaley Bridge.
