Happy New Year

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda pawb. Let's hope the new one is better than the global sh!tshow that made up 2023.

Hope there aren't too many fat heads tomorrow!

Just back from spending a couple of days with the Monkey and her partner Jim at their house in Colchester. Feeling knackered today so early night planned with earplugs in, but I bet we still get woken up by the fireworks at midnight... Might just try a couple of shots of the Jameison Black I got for Chrimbo but won't go too mad.

HNY all, whatever your plans.

I'm hoping there won't be any fireworks here. They reduce poor Mabel to a shaking wreck. :smt011

Happy New Year all.

Like others, I'm hoping for a few more riding days than previous years. I'm going to aim to get my FZ600 roadworthy again but I hope to still be able to use son's SV some more, too.

(It would be good to be able to look at a weather forecast predicting dry for the following day or two and not be disappointed when getting up because rain is tumbling out of the sky again - admittedly it's likely to be a skewed view but that's my abiding memory of my non-work days in 2023 and I'm tired of it:smt097)

Lady Poppy said the racket went on for a good 30 minutes, but I barely noticed. Hope Mabel was OK and I heartily recommend Ultimate custom moulded ear plugs for the bike, and avoiding noisy firework barrages.

Been nice here most of the day so the BBQ is now finally cleaned down ready for the new season, the new bar grips Lady Poppy got for Chrimbo are now fitted to her bicycle, as are some new brake blocks, and my shoes are polished ready for my usual two days in the office later in the week. Keeping this active is a resolution that rarely lasts...
