Long rideout tomorrow

Deserting Wales for the day tomorrow and meeting Mick (madmickyb) up at Kendal. Heading over to Windermere for breakfast and then a day of Lakeland riding.
Leaving for Kendal at 5.30am so maybe I should go to bed and get some sleep now!

Back! Fantastic day, total mileage around 450, wall to wall sunshine (but a chilly start at 5.45am!).
Managed to string the Wrynose and Hardknott passes together, rode around all sorts of roads including lots of single track stuff. Towns were all heaving but most of the roads we travelled were pretty quiet, at least till home time.
Going to do it again but as a weekender next time.

Why were there so many Harleys there I wonder? I can't really think of a bike less suited to that sort of terrain tbh.....

Wow, thats some serious mileage! Was a great day for it was up there or thereabouts today with my mate, def noticed a lot less cars on the roads like you say. Bowness was heaving as usual, over Kirkstone Pass and we barely saw any cars along the route. Not that i'm complaining \\:D/ makes a nice change from getting stuck behind bloody coaches!

Then got to Kirkby Stephen and might have found out the reason why theres so few cars out. Took £20 to fill up my ninja, sh!t the bed!
