Back home already
Well my instructions were to report to the main reception at 8.00 for ward 3 to have my nose straightened, 10 past 8 they decide to check my notes and are interrupted by a theatre nurse. The major who is first in is a no show. can they get me down there for 8:30.
I walk in bang in time, a cannula stuck in my hand, a mask on my face and I wake up at 9:15 in the recovery suite. Off to ward 3 for tea/toast and daughter collects me at 10:00. All very efficient, I have not to drink alcohol or drive for 48 hours or blow my nose for a week. Well done Royal Preston Hospital. when the system work, it works very well. |
Re: Back home already
Glad it went smoothly for you - my recent gastroscopy was the same deal, bada-bing, bada-boom and out. Great when the system works!

Re: Back home already
Matts hip op was the same. Get in, have it done, walk out day after.

Re: Back home already
No alcohol for 48 hours? How will you cope? :D

Re: Back home already
Speed is one thing, effectiveness is another. Will your former boyish looks return or will your face be left looking like a hod-carrier's elbow? ;-)
Glad it went well for you - some good news for a change :-) |
Re: Back home already
Did they straighten your toe at the same time?
Good to hear some good news for a change. |
Re: Back home already
Heal fast Tim, take it easy though and no falling off skate boards because that hurts too. Glad it went well.
