Bike Safe

I am thinking about doing one of those Bike Safe course (to learn something new and to get me some discount on the insurance). But it looks like they do not do any around greater manchester. I believe the nearest one to be in Sheffield (not sure I want to go there for 2 evenings and one day of riding?).

Does any1 know what attracts better discount on insurance IAM or Bike Safe?

IAM now offers insurance policies through a sister company as well. Got a superb deal on my car insurance this year!!! bike wasn't that competitive but it might be different for you
