Curvy SV650n owners...

Hi folks,

I'm about to order a retro fairing for my SV, but I need to let them know the headlight cut-out size.

Long story short, can anyone with an 'N' curvy model tell me the distance between the 2 mounting holes (20cm?) and the overall width of the headlight so I know what size hole the fairing I'll need?

Many thanks in advance!

I've just been out and measured my 1999 Curvy for you and best I can get is that the headlight with it's chrome rim is 180mm wide and then the chrome outer makes 200mm which is inline with where the bolts go through from the Bracket.

Then there's a rubber spacer between the Shell and the Bracket.

Ah, thank you!

So mounting holes for the light itself would be 200mm (which is what the fairing bracket mounts on the fairing I'm buying are anyway) and the overall width of the hole I need them to cut onto the fairing would need to be, say 250mm to take the headlight and have a few MM spare?

Thank you so much :)

Sounds good to me but of course without being there it's hard to be exact.250mm would leave you an inch either side of the headlight?

That might be too much?

Can you contact the supplier and have a natter with them? They should be able to help as I'm sure they have done loads of custom work from what you say.

Have a natter with the supplier and by all means point them to my picture or a better one.

Although the headlights are 180mm they also might be standard 7" as this is a grey area even on Japanese bikes like the 7/8" bars diameter but AKA 22mm
