I have put up with this syndrome for years.
When my SV gets hot circa 90 degrees + it gets a bit hesitant when on the throttle, can bog momentarily or miss a beat, especially when pulling away from a standing start.
Am I being too accepting or should I be doing something about it, and if so, what? :confused:

Try half a bottle of Redex in the tank.Won't do any harm,might help and is cheap liquid maintenance :)

Otherwise I might suspect a Spark plug cap has gone too high on Resistance.They come stock @ 5k ohms.Anything over 8K ohms and I replace them.I use NGK straights as they are way cheaper than OEM.

you should have investigated years ago. intermittent faults like this can leave you stranded when they do decide to fail completely.

fuel cleaner wont do shizz in this instance as its heat dependant so either breather, fuel vapour lock or electrical contact breaking down (the hotter the wire the more resistance).

i would start with taking each connector apart and lightly spraying acf-50 in them.

next up would be the charging system when its hot.

after that is anyone's guess.

I'd start by checking the two sensors in the airbox, make sure they are clean and not covered in oily film. Clean the connectors while you're at it, and any others you can get at as Bibio said.

While the tank is up, get some switch cleaner like Deoxit (or just a residue-free cleaner) and give the back of the TPS a good spray, where the plastic body of the TPS meets the metal plate. Some of the cleaner will get into the TPS, then work the throttle gently several times. This can help clean the sliding contact in the TPS of crud/tracking.

Check the rubber caps on the throttle bodies carefully for splits or holes too, one of those could be upsetting low-rpm.

Rear coil breaking down, replaced quite a few, is a possibility

Will check a few at a time. I will do the connectors first as I know they give grief on the SV.
