Pension Bonus????

Now I'm used to getting calls about reclaiming PPI payments, but I got one this morning about some kind of pension bonus. It was something along the lines of as I was born after 1952 (just), I may be entitled to £1,000 bonus payment.

Anyone else had this / know anything about the validity of it all? I could always do with an extra grand.

Cheers

Probably a scam to get your bank details I am afraid.

Just tell them thats great, but you can't talk now, so can they give you their name, the company name and a number to call them back on.

If they are legit you will get all of that.

Chances are the line will just go dead.

I would be sceptical about that too. If it were legit, I would expect to see it on the news. PPI is paid back by the banks that loaned out the money in the first place. Pensions are managed through government agencies, therefore I cannot see that they would outsource the offering of giving you your £1000 back to private companies.

When does the government willingly try and give us money???

I smell a rat...but will wait to see if it hits the news any time.

MILLIONS could get a £1,000-a-year pay rise under plans to scrap income tax on the state pension.

Chancellor George Osborne is being urged to ditch the levy by the Office of Tax Simplification, an independent advisory body he set up.
The proposal, which would mean five million pensioners sharing a £5billion bonus, was given a warm welcome last night. "
Haven't read the detail ( nor do I get the Express ) but there MAY be summat in it - but not via dodgy phonecalls!

Just had a call from 08435 400911 with a recorded message saying people born after 1952 may be entitled to a £1000 bonus.

I pressed 5 to find out more about it, I was asked if I had a private pension or a frozen private pension and then the lady I spoke to said she would get an advisor to call me back.

A lady phoned me back, she said they would get a financial advisor to look at my pension and see if it was in the right place and working hard enough, I said that was not what the call said and asked her about the £1000 bonus.

Basically they are a marketing company that pass your information on to financial advisors, and if you take up the advice they give you you may get £1000. I asked for the details of the financial advisors, but she would only say they have a number of them all over the country.

I'm not happy with giving my information to complete unknowns, so I told her I wasn't interested.

Seems like this is the next round of recorded message claims phone calls we will all be getting

They're not known on 'Say no to 0870 ' either.
What do they have to hide?

Scam scammy scam scam scam

I hate those phone calls, we get loads at work. House insulation seems to be the latest one. Particularly useful for an office building I always think!

£1,000 Pension Bonus from an unsolicited telephone call? :p
Does this perhaps sound too good to be true? [-o<
YES IT DOES!!! :o

One person who fell for it has posted his experience at:

Spread the word ---
Unsolicited telephone call ??
Offering you money for nothing ??
Could this be a SCAM or Marketing ploy to get you on a hook (and a database they can sell as a 'Responder!!')

If you want more Scam calls - Respond to theses calls and texts - If not -- Delete the text message with NO RESPONSE and DO NOT Press any key on a 'phone call. Hope this helps.
