Metallic sound from front on new SV

I've been following a number of people complaining about metallic noises from the front of their 2018 SV650 on the US site. My AL7 (2016) doesn't do it and I've done 26000 miles, anyone here encountered the issue?

Not on my AL7, could it be sintered brake pads ?

Nope, not on my AL7 either. I have noticed the pads can stick to the discs after washing, but that gets scrubbed off the first time you brake on the road.

Mind you, I fitted a Yoshi TRS last week so that's all I'm hearing when I ride at the moment :)

As a 2018 AL8 owner, maybe I'm extra qualified to comment.

(but having checked the thread on SVrider, I've no idea what they're on about).

There again, like Craig above I've got a slightly fruity pipe.

Reminds me of when I bought my last DR350, though in that case the stupidly loud straight through exhaust WASN'T enough to drown out the worryingly noisy valve train (needless to say the selling price was cheap, though as it turned out still not cheap enough  )
