How do you test a flasher relay?

as the title says, how would i go about testing the flasher relay on my 125cc Bike? its indicators have recently given up....flick the switch and just nothing, same with the hazard lights!

If its an old school 2 pin jobbie, I'd remove it, short across where it was and the lights should come on, but not flash.
If not, then flasher not at fault, if so, then further test flasher out of bike

As above, however I'm pretty sure that indicates something else as the hazard lights get their flashy flashy from elsewhere IIRC.

Nope same place, just the switch for those turns both on at once, it's not a separate relay or owt. (on the SV)

Ah, think I know why. I had a faulty led flasher unit and the hazards still flashed - I guess they must have been still using the sv's multifunction relay and I'd only removed the indicators wires from it?

Sorry for the inaccurate info anyhoo.

If not this go through the indicator system from the switch to the bulbs. As previously stated, hazards (if you have them) are almost certainly from this relay. Check headlight/brake light and starter motor first though. Just in case the main fuse has gone.
