Starting Gremlin.

Just recently over the last few weeks i think i may have encountered somekind of gremlin on the bike as far as warm/hot engine starts go.

When it's been parked up overnight or for days on end it cracks up quickly 1st time, problem is....once ive started it up from cold & then rode 2/3 miles up the road (engine just about up to normal running temp),stopped to fill up with petrol & then go to start it up again,5 out 10 times it does'nt want to know (ie)sounds like the battery is dying & digital clocks dim right off, this enevitably sometimes means a bump start:(.

Can't really work this one out as when ive rode be it 10miles or 100miles & got off for a brew & stuff & go to start it back up whether it's 15mins or an hour or so later,it cracks up 1st time no probs.

Would'nt think it's the battery or reg/rec as i only had these replaced a few months back......any ideas?....cheers all:confused:

I dont know too much, but firstly i'd check the voltage before you start it from cold. Then do your ride, switch off, and take voltage before you start, then once it fails, take voltage again.

If its right down then obviously something is draining your battery. Alarm on your bike? Leaving your lights left on? Dont any electrical mods on your bike?

I know you have prob check this stuff already but though i'd try and help..
