Emailing cover notes
Has any one ever asked there insurance to email them a cover note? the car needs insured and taxed so I was hoping that if I asked the insurance company would send me a cover note by email so I could get it taxed. Any one had any experience of this?

Re: Emailing cover notes
yeah i did this a while back after the dog chewed up the cover note for the bike rang them up they charged me £10 to issue new docs but they also emailed me a copy as well, you thought about taxing it online, if you get tugged by the police then you can blame the postal strike they can check with dvla that you have paid anyway

Re: Emailing cover notes
ITs not insured yet so its not on the insurance database so i cant get it taxed online right away I have to wait till the next day(?) or go to the post office, If i can get a cover note emailed it would be the best thingno waiting that way I can print it off and go down to the post office this afternoon

Re: Emailing cover notes
Have you tried taxing it online via the DVLA website ?
As long as what you are trying to tax is insured and MOT'd then you dont need to go the post office to tax it. Might save you faffing about with cover notes etc etc.. |
