I've noticed the increasing use of TikTok the video sharing app which is Chinese owned (by ByteDance). There are 800 million TikTok users and it is the top downloaded app on the Apple store. If you are using it and are not concerned about your personal data then there isn't a problem, if you are concerned read this:

TLDR: Don't use TikTok. Don't allow anyone with it installed to connect to your home network.
