2004 GSXR 600/750 Front End Conversion
2004 GSXR front end, includes fork legs, yokes, headstock bearings, calipers with worn pads (some life left), wheel spindle.
Pulled from a working road bike. In regular use before removing, only removed to swap to a black front end. Headstock bearings will fit SV650 pointy frame and lockstops and steering lock line up. Generally in good condition, both legs are dead straight. One fork leg has a ding and dust seals look fairly rough (see pics), but the oil seals don't leak and the forks slide cleanly. Price is £450 collected from Sheffield, all offers considered! https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4755/...2623a26e_b.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4750/...12073689_b.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4720/...2f190af3_b.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4764/...dc982d37_b.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4694/...91158e5d_b.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4603/...aeb200e9_b.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4660/...0644fc62_b.jpg |

Hey, bit off topic - could you measure from centre hole to fork cap...there's some debate on the actual length of these forks. I may well consider them if they're as long as suggested.
Thanks |

I've got a K8-10 600/750 front end I can also measure to compare if that would help? |
Re: 2004 GSXR 600/750 Front End Conversion
Yeah, spindle center hole to where the fork tube meets the cap :) My K3/K4 1000 front end will be up for sale soon so I want to see, in reality, what the length differences are. I'm looking at the k6/k7 600/750 front end as that's the nearest to stock length (again, apparently, no absolute confirmation anywhere). I'm thinking your forks in this ad will be 720mm (or there abouts).
Thanks in advance! |

Does the standard pointy front wheel, grips and brake levers fit this? Would the speedo need adjusting?

You need a gsxr front wheel and discs, plus handlebars. All the handlebar controls will fit. To make the Speedo work you'll need a Hall effect sensor, plus magnets mounted in the disc brake rotor. Do a search on here, Google or Sv rider.com, plenty of articles about it. |

So to make it easy, buy ANY SV1000 front wheel and spindle - the SV1000 discs are 310mm if memory serves me right. Bear in mind disc sizes, spacers may be required for the calipers. ...Job's a goodun. The de facto information post about this is here: http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=135430 |

Good point, although a 650 Pointy wheel won't fit :p

That's what I'm saying - albeit in a daft roundabout way, haha :)
