Too much oil?
 

Changed filter and oil on my K6 today. But I might have refilled a tad much oil. When it stands on the paddockstand, the oil is just above the FULL-line. Is this dangerous in any way? Is not WAY to much, just a bit over..

Would you recommend me to take some out?

A tiny amount more like that, IMO won't do it any harm

If the bike is straight up-and-down and you can still see the top of the oil level in the window, you'll be OK.

As another note, checking oil on paddockstands is a bad idea, you can guarantee the ground isn't perfectly level so stop being a wuss and check the oil properly.

And just how is that done? Especially if you can't guarantee the ground's level?:confused:

when on stand it will show more than actually is in there.
I usually fill to the top of glass when on stand.

On the side stand my oil level just shows. On the paddock stand it shows full to the top of the glass. Since the manual says it should be checked when the bike is upright I guess I have way to much oil in. It's been like that for the last 3k miles.. !!:shaking:

paddock stand is upright,except tilted forward enough to read slightly higher in glass.
if you get bike of the stand without leaning it on side it will show right around top line.

Just hold the bike upright, then it doesn't matter what level the grounds at it'll still balance upright.

Thanks for answers! Guess its okay then! Better with a little more, then a little less, right?

BTW, when its on the stand, the glass is empty. Haven't really checked when just holding.. Except when the engine is running, but then its empty too (but I guess thats because the oil is wandering around its route..?).
