Bike alternative.
Ok so you have your main bike which suits your general needs or riding style bit what would you choose as a second bike to fit the following criteria? I am not looking for the latest singing and dancing,(although for you it could be something that fits in to that category) it does not have to be the most exotic, costly, new, big nor pretty etc.
It's use would in the main be as such: For those occasions when you don't want to fully "kit up" before going for a ride.(Let's ignore the PC/sense line here.) You want to be able to say potter off in to town on the odd message. It's for when you want to just go for a gentle, relaxed ride as opposed to canyon carving. If you want to simply head off in to the hills with the sun shining on you, this would be possible too. The bike would be capable if required to cover a 400 mile trip which leaves you feeling relaxed at the end of it with no back, kneeee ache etc. So we are looking for something other than a race rep type bike. Your suggestions on a post card please....... |

Re: Bike alternative.
Why not :?: It has the right gearing. You can easily pull away in 2nd gear so would hardly ever need to change gear. It's a relative thin motorcycle, has handlebars not clipons which makes filtering even easier.

Re: Bike alternative.
For me, an ideal second bike might be a super-scoot, like a Burgman or Silverwing. Just for nipping to town for the milk etc. The VFR does not have anywhere for stuff like that. Seems excessive to take the car...
