WSB & BSB ?? Why No SV ???

In recent years the V-Twins have proven track worthiness and taken many titles. So why is the Suzuki V-Twin not having a shot? Surely a tuned 1000 would have a good blast at these others...........................
Useless question i know, just wondering:confused:

I think a V twin supersports bike like the Duke is always going to be leagues ahead of a camparativly over weight and under powered bike the the SV1000. Its just not a supersports bike, its a sports tourer.

I believe the TL1000R was designed as a race bike (just like the Honda SP1&2) but by the time it came out it just wasnt cutting the mustard against the new 1000cc IL4s

so the plant in the SV1000 did once have a life as a Supersports engine :)

The TL-R was essentially a crap bike for racing. Very big and bulky. There was a privateer TL-R in 1998, which should have scored points for the sound it made (best sounding bike on the grid) but there are no points for coming dead last. In both races.

The V-twin may make a comeback if the new 200cc extra capacity over IL4's proves to be succesful. Honda SP-3 1200 anyone?

i think suzuki are planing to do a stright 6, will that suffice? but i am grinning at the idea of the noise a v6 would make!
