Ok so it is that time of year again ... which of you tend to make a wally of yourselves annually at this juncture ... and who just tries to fade away in the background ... wishing they were at home, not out with their work colleagues’ ... ;)

i while back, we had our xmas dinner & dance in the poshist hotel in cardiff (the park hotel) and was a black tie thing, as the boss was a millionaire

anywho....... there was about 5 of us that got hammered, i then tried to climb the 20foot xmas tree, i fell....... the tree also fell and landed on me

we did not have the xmas do there the following year

ive been invited to my works xmas doo but never go i refuse to pay 25 quid to ave a slap up carvery and pay 3.90 a pint.

i work for multi million pound european company and they want u to pay to go to there xmas doo no thanks:smt011

My work puts on a christmas dinner with great reluctance and bad grace - and everyone hates each other so noone is looking forward to it.

I'm only going for the free feed.

this weekend i shall mostly be attending the xmas do for my company...

free weekend in a nice hotel : £0

free meal on saturday night : £0

open bar on saturday night : £0

£60 to catch the bloody ferry to the mainland : Priceless

Same here, we don't even bother having one anymore.

Actually, that's not exactly true. Most of us get on but there's a large clash of ego's between certain individuals that only gets worse when alcohol is added.

Got mine tonight.

Everyone on the team gets along and the big bosses' are being chucked into the mix too. As it's potentially my last evening of shananigans with this group of people before I (hopefully) start new job in the New Year, tonight I will mostly be get smashed and abusing senior management. I'm the 'cheeky' one in the group so hopefully I'll get away it. If i don't - who gives a shnit ?? :D
