Tyres
Some part worns that aren't badly squared off, preferably sport touring type, avon storm would be best...
These are for replacing the cheng $hits on melodys bike with something decent, and don't think she fancies running in new tyres right after a crash. |
Re: Tyres
There is a gentleman selling some contiroad attacks you might be interested in he needs to offer them cheaper to make them worthwhile though. what makes she got on at the moment?

Re: Tyres
Pro-tech or something like
They feel very hard, are fairly squared off and still have the pubes round the edges, I've no insurance so not test ridden it. |

Re: Tyres
never heard of them i take it they where in the bike when she got it? no wonder she has had a few moments on them im sure her confidence will be boosted with some decent rubber on her bike.

Re: Tyres
Yes they came with the bike, I wouldn't have them unless desperate!
Not entirely comfortable giving her a repaired rear, but it's her decision. Whats your thoughts? (on the plugged road attack) |

They're IRC, and nothing to do with Cheng Shin (which is what I assume you were implying). I had IRCs on my XR400R, and they were absolute rubbish. Replaced them with...Maxxis (made by Cheng Shin), which were excellent. Cheng Shin/Maxxis have come a long way from the early days. Their Supermoto tyres are unbeatable, they do extremely good motocross tyres and their smaller road tyres are fantastic as well. I've tried the radials on a couple of bikes, and they're not as good as something like an O14 Bridgestone, but they'd beat the ar$e off a set of Dunlop D207s for feel and inspiring confidence. |
