Re: Heathrow Crash
Whoops!
Benji works in that neck of the woods.... Glad everyone's ok, but a fairly impressive screw up:rolleyes: |
Re: Heathrow Crash
Sounds like there was a few passengers who almost caught their cab BEFORE they had alighted the aircraft - at least no-one was seriously hurt :)

Re: Heathrow Crash
Theres nothing it saying was a screw up, i cant see a profesional pilot missing a runway by that much without serious problem occuring.
They look to be very lucky it didnt start barrel rolling in all fairness. |

Re: Heathrow Crash
Until they snap off. In the picture showing the route the plan took, there is another picture showing the wing all smashed up and half its normal length, if that had dug in to the grass it would have been game over. Arnt the wings full of fuel aswell.

Re: Heathrow Crash
Lucky escape. Looks like a massive gust of wind could have caused a sudden sinking of the craft which collapsed it's gear. If the gear had not come out properly they would have known in advance and there would have been a million fireengines standing next to the runway. I'd say pilot error due to windy conditions is my bet. I just landed there 1 week ago, and I hate flying, so I am more scared now!
