Flashed this morning...

I got flashed by a rear facing camera this moring, think I was doing about 55 in 50. Just missed my turn so wasn't paying attention can someone remind me what the turn around for this is? If I remember correctly its that you have 2 weeks after that don't worry, or have they changed it again?

How long does it take for a SP30 to come off your license now?

Re: Flashed this morning...

IIRC it no longer counts after 4 years and can be removed after a further 12 months, so 5 years in total ... but I'm sure one of the plod on here will be along soon to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth ;-)

Ah ok ... shoulda checked first ... here ya go:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring...ons/DG_4022550
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring...ns/DG_10022425

The above links say that the points must remain on the licence for 4 years.
Although after 3 years they cease from counting towards the "totting up" system.
But it also depends on the offence.
