Off Road day cool!!

Had a go at that in the past great day of fun and it didnt hurt when I fell off.

Jealous tho. Those trails looks lovely and I'd love to join you, but can't afford another day and I may still be aching and bruised from the day before!!

What a blast that was - and how rubbish was I? :)

Managed to fall off 5 times - 3 within 30 yrds/ 3 mins (loadsa mud) - after that have to confess to taking the really muddy bits at mobility scooter pace...:rolleyes:

Have to say the chap who took me out must have had the patience of a saint:smt059.

Best crash is between " losing it in the mud and parking the bike near vertically up a bank between trees" or the "edge of a rut catapalt effect" (for sheer aerobatic style).

Fortunately no camera was present.

Great people, Great all day breakfast in the pub we stopped at & great day out.

How did you rate the whole package? Value for money?

I see they do days near me and was thinking a day out with them to get me started with me new toy might be a good idea.

I just need some basic pointers really. I have done a fair bit of MTB riding and 4x4 off roading. So a bit of help with basic 'never do this' type of stuff I'll be fine (relatively!). While looking for an off-road school in this area I came across these guys and then read the thread. Hence my question to Sosha.

Finding trails is not an issue around here.

Have you seen ours in the pics bit?

Falling off is a necessary part of the whole experience; the bikes are designed for it and the clothing is good protection. At the school we did the first thing we were taught, after how to start the bikes, was how to pick them up properly!

What I did was more of a "Have a go at this - we'll show you some countryside" rather than any sort of training day - so if you've got your own bike/ kit etc prob not really any different than just going out with some mechanically competant mates who are prepared to keep an eye on you, and having a go.

Next time I think I'll hunt out their training school....be nice to have remaining upright down to more than luck....

Mmmm could have used that :rolleyes:..... think we ran about 50/50 on the picking up the bike bit depending on how deep the mud/inaccessible the particular bit of scenery I'd decided to bury it in was.
