Re: Triple s chain
Never heard of it; I have tsukabi I think on my bike. If in doubt, get your own chain and sprockets and give that to them to fit :D

Re: Triple s chain
I've been using Triple S chains for years now and contiuned on the Triumph (S3) although they were obviously 530's, they seem to do the job and come with both spring & rivet links to which is nice.
Got decent ware & value out of them and would use them again. Cheers Mark. |
Re: Triple s chain
Afternoon all.
Amongst the plethora of cheaper chain on the market Triple S are one of the better ones. However I find that when one takes into account the longer lifespan a higher grade chain can give you, & the aggro &/or costs involved in fitting One is much better off having a high grade chain. In short, go for a Tsubaki SG & be done with it. Cheers. |
Re: Triple s chain
Perhaps having a scottoiler always fitted, I haven't found the triple s chains to ware any faster than the OEM ones, but then 25,000 miles I consider fairly good for a chain, especially on the speedtriple, and of course as has been pointed out there is a significant cost saving to be had.
Cheers Mark. |
Re: Triple s chain
Thanks for the replies guys,
I think im gonna order a Tsubaki set of the internet and have a go at fitting myself. It will have to wait until next month due to funds though!! Lets hope the chain lasts until then! |
Re: Triple s chain
Good afternoon all.
Either go to B&C Express on; 01522 791369 (or use yours truly;)) . Make sure you specify a Tsubaki SG grade, or an SGX if you want gold coloured side plates. The recommended grade for an SV is the APX chain, which is good, but you'll find the difference between that & an SG relatively small. (about ?15 I reckon), & the SG is definitely much better. Cheers. |
