Paddock Stand Bobbins

Can anyone help me. Im looking at putting paddock stand bobins on my curvy SV. Does anyone know what size thread they are 6mm, 8mm or 10mm. Also are the fronts the same size as the rear.

Any help gratfully received

Cheers

Re: Paddock Stand Bobbins

The 8mm bobbins will fit the swingarm.

What do you mean about the front - are you talking fork protectors? The front paddock stand will either go below your forks are if you chose you can get one that lifts at the head stock. You don't need bobbins for the front baddock stand. If you check the R&G Racing website or one of the big probiders like MandP or Buster there's a range on offer.

8mm for the rear swingarm bobbins and as Balky001 said you don't need any for the front.

Take my advice, get some bobbins for the rear that are large and nylon with a V-section groove for the hooks to locate in, like R+G ones. If you use the spindly turned alloy ones the paddock stand hooks can scratch the swingarm if you aren't too careful.

Yep, I had alloy ones and they did pull the paddock hooks to close and I did get a scratch on the swingarm. Now have R&Gs :)
