tail tidy and scott oiler

Alright people just a question about where to re locate my scott oiler!
Im not fond of it to be totally honest. however it was on my bike when i bought it!
Anyway, im going to buy a smaller plate and a tail tidy and i dont think the oiling unit will fit behind the tail tidy (currently the unit is behind the number plate). so i was wondering where you guys have yours fitted.

cheers a load Rick :p

Most people fit them under the tail plastics, attached to the rear subframe I believe, it's a bit of a fiddle, but it's out of sight.

Have a dig around using the search feature

I put a new Scottoiler on a month or so ago and cable tied it under the pillion seat on the RHS (as you sit). I've got pretty massive hands you see and cant be bothered with faffing on with the rear plastics. Added to that I don't keep much under there.

Would it fit behind the front plastics on an S?

You know, that ain't a bad idea.

There's a spare touring kit sitting on the shelf in the garage. I may just see about mounting it behind the fairing lowers.

Yes, putting it behind the front fairing on an 'S' is a good idea. This is where I have fitted one in the past and its still easy to access and leaves more space under the seat.

I presume you have the plastic cylinder type reservoir and not the touring kit which is specifically designed to be fitted behind the number plate?
