well an rs turbo is a rally sport. a gt turbo is gran tourer. just wondering if the S AND V are short for anything...

Nope. The japs just use letters to feel good. Ducati use numbers, followed by a letter.

If SV does stand for something, what does GSXR stand for :shock:

Its something to do with the number of cylinders and that it has a 16v head.. I think...
