Refurbing dented exhaust, and ideas?
I'm retiring the GS from the trails (mainly ;)) and so tarting it up a bit. The OEM can is dented and the outer sleeve comes off to reveal an inner lump of iron, so probably quite different to many slip ons. I am happy with the oem so loathe to part with £150 on ebay even if I was really lucky, most go for much more.
Unfortunately the outer stainless sleeve although removable isnt a 'part' :( Anyone got any ideas for refurbing the sleeve? I guess someone might actually just make me a sleeve? Or can you get carbon? Well I know you can but its an odd oval shape of weird dimensions. That odd shape means there is nothing quite like it out and about. Or maybe something that juts hides the dent. Ideas? Or if from Bristol, ideals? By the way why not ask in a BM forum you ask? Well what the point of asking people who spend £1500 on Akra systems. No...no point  |
