Not sure, surely you would have to pay and import tax. Thats expensive anyway... I payed $71 for mine, but I did have to go "abroad" to get it.

It could be marked as a gift, which would get around that.....
Yeah I have a leaterman wave, awesome piece of kit I got mine in the US for about $60/70 years ago, its probally one of the best tools I have, I used mine in previou job all the time. I don't use it work now, casue someone will steal it. They took my led light, which was a gift. |

not *really* illegal.
you run the risk of paying tax which he is taking the risk of by guaranteeing to refund it. Yeah so he's probably naughtily marking it as gift and/or under declaring the value. |
