Bikers ridout to meet the cyclists
 

A group of 10 Sixth Form students at the school where I teach have organised a sponsored 150 mile bicycle ride around East Anglia over the Easter week end The money raised will be split between a couple of good causes, including the charity Hand in Hand and setting up a football team/league for youngsters in a part of Africa whose name I've forgotten.

On Good Friday, 21st March, myself and a couple of other bikers, one a fellow teacher and the other a student, are going to ride from Chelmsford to wherever they are to meet for lunch. The route isn't finalised yet but on this leg they should be somewhere between Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk and Thetford in Norfolk.

So if you'd like to join us and hand over a little bit of cash to these great young people we will be leaving Sandon School, Chelmsford at 10.30 am on Friday 21st March.

If I escape from Leeds on time on Thursday I'll try and wander along, have you got an address for the school?

Sorry 'bout the delay.

The school is just off J18 of the A12 (the Chelmsford Park and Ride exit). Head towards town and take first left into Molrams Lane. The school is just there.

We're meeting them in Newmarket but havn't fixed an actual place yet - any ideas anyone?

Left home about 10 mins ahead of your post, found the school bang on time and thought you must have gone, had a ride about and then had a mirror ripped off in a carpark:smt022Apart from that it wasn't a bad day for a ride.
