Exhaust "E" mark

Does anyone know where I can get an Akropovic E sticker to put on my can, my marking has rubbed off and I believe you can buy Akropovic stickers to replace them?

MOT time and not sure if it needs one, if they only few pounds I will invest to be on the safe side.

Thought Akrapovic stamped it on, or are you on about one of those universal "I am lying through my teeth as this is really a race can" 'E' marked stickers??? If so I wouldn't bother, if the they are gonna fail it without the sticker they will be the type to fail it with the sticker!

I dont think you need an "E" mark on your can now to get it through an MOT, it just needs to not be stamped with "Not for road use" or "Race use only" and it needs to not be stupidly loud and then it should go through. I think..

the blueflame can on my SV has no e-mark on it, and it gets MOT'd OK with the baffles in the can.

I was told the same thing, if there are no markings it's up to the testers discretion

Mine got through it's MOT with the akrapovic system fitted although i did have the baffle fitted

What those 2 said - BSU/ E stamps are gone now for MOT testing.
It's up to the tester's discretion as to whether they pass on "noise" level.

Got a scorpion on mine, no baffles. Think my MOT tester likes the sound of it though... :D

They're right Shell, you don't need an E mark, it's down to the tester to decide if it falls within acceptable limits in his opinion. If it's marked as not for road use then he has every right to fail it without even hearing it. If it has not for road use markings then a simple piece of insulating tape over it is enough cos he's not allowed to take the tape off to see what's under it.

Thats my understanding of it. If the MOTer doesnt think it's too loud, then he can pass it.
If the can is a race one & you buy one of those things off ebay to say it's legal, it can be construde as fraud
Just to add another note.Shell, if you want a standard can I have a spare in my shed that you can have free of charge seeing as my new bike has a std one on as well :)

They are only there for the old bill to look for, no 'E' stamp at all means a ticket too now a days.
