Silverstone today

Hi folks

Took over 1,000 pics today - most of which are crap - just wait till my new lens clears customs at Heathrow :smt007

Here's some of the better ones

If you were there today and aren't in the pics, give me a description of your bike and I'll see if I've got some on the hard disk, or if you want full size copies

cheers

I agree - nice Dainese jacket. Shame about the muppet in the foreground!:p

Did jester666 ride? I have't seen a pic of him out of all the pics posted so far?

Jester was riding, but his SV had no fairing or light bracket attached so it makes him hard to spot. He's the guy behind Ricardo in the bottom picture that Mr Toad posted.

It was a stonker. (Still a knee down virgin though. Hey it was the first on the Trumpet!)

Nice pics Toady. I'd have introduced myself but I didn't know you were with us with all your coming and going. I was the bald one going too quick on track for anyone but Mark to catch on camera .

:)

Cheers Quiff, I'm afraid that quantity bears no relation to quality

My telephoto lens has been playing up for some time (it was in my tank bad when I crashed in France, so it could probably do with at least a service if not a rebuild (like me ), so I bought a new one, but unfortunately it's been stuck in customs for about 2 weeks so I didn't get to play with it.
A lot of the pics are out of focus - very annoying as it's not supposed to do that.
I also played around in the pit lane trying to be creative and panning the bikes going past in order to get a sense of movement. What I actually got was about 50 shots of the advertising hording with no bike in the frame , around 50 of the back end of a bike, another 50 of the front end of a bike, and another 50 with a very blurred bike in the middle of the frame. However I didn't manage to take any shots of my feet, as I have been known to in the past . . .

I also took a load around the garage, but my memory card went on the blink and lost everything.

Damn good job it's digital and you can just delete what you don't want

I think I'll go back to photographing flowers

All in all a good day out
