I love C&C, I have the original but it won't play on Vista! (nor 2000 IIRC)

Vista sucks thats why^^ :p

Cool though that you can get it. I still dont understand why the game slows down so much when the armies get big with modern machines though... I like 50 thousand tannks :D

Have it working on Vista

This may work in 2K as well

Run the installer in "Win95 compatibility mode" - so right click on install.exe then click on properties and sort that out.

Once installed you need to replace one of dll files - you get that from ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/ccgold/CCGOLDXPPATCH.ZIP

Then you need to change the main executable file to run in "Win95 Compatibility Mode"

Et voila - working CnC Gold

Original C&C + expansion pack = DINOSAURS LEVELS! (Red Alert had the GiAnts, but the dinos were the best...)
