Aerosol paint, great service from a spot on company.

Friend of mine told me about this company, so took a trip down there today. I bought 1 x 400ml Pearl Canyon Yellow & 400ml White base coat. Cost me ?21, which I thought a bit steep, but when I asked the guy how long before I could pick it up he said "Give us a couple of minutes :o". True to his word, by the time we had paid, he came out with the 2 aerosols, so worth every penny. The colour match looks to be spot on.

The Company is B.S. Supplies. Price Street, Burslem, Stoke On Trent. Tel:- 01782 819638.
They do colours for ALL Cars & Motorcycles, dont know whether they can deliver, but could be worth a call :)

Sounds good, but the title of the thread sounds a bit like a cryptic crossword clue. :D

i will be using 2pac paint when i paint my bike, i use a paint shop local to me that charge 15 pounds for half a litre of paint which mixes to just under 1 liter of paint
they mix the paint up so the match is brilliant :D

?21 pricey????

That's about ?10.50 a can - WHAT AN ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!!!

When I was looking around for paint for my bike (YC2 Grand Candy Blue) ?10.99 was the best price I could find after seaching for a couple of weeks. And with YC2, you need to buy the silver bascoat as well.

Blueto, is your bike YC2? If so, I very much doubt that you would never ever get a perfect colour match from a can from Halfrauds - What code was the paint you brought?. I've used two companies to buy from, and paints4u.com gave a perfect colour match. I don't want to name-and-shame the other company, but that can didn't match at all - it was more of a purple shade (nothing to do with how I sprayed it - even though it's a tri coat process).

to be honest i dont know. I sprayed the rear undertray to get rid of my built in indies and although these pictures are not to clear, believe me, the finish was pretty much matched in just right"! feel free for an inspection any time you like?

Well if it was an undertray you painted, then fair enough, as the undertray is quite obsecure, and 'in the shade' and would look colour-matched to the naked eye, but it cannot be a perfect match never-the-less. YC2 uses a tri coat process when painting. You apply (0) the primer;

(1) the silver base coat
(2) a transparent blue
(3) Clear (Lacquer).

To get the correct colour, the transparent blue must be applied showing the silver base coat in order to give off the candy-sparkling look.

Re: Aerosol paint, great service from a spot on company.

I have sprayed my bellypan & still have enough paint left to do my headlamp fairing & possibly my undertray - well, I can hope. But I am really pleased with the colourmatch. The bloke at B.S. was spot on, he told me it was a 3 part system & a Mica Pearl (which I haven't got the faintest what that means), he got the mix spot on. Now it's laquered it looks very nice :)
Oh thanks to the mods for changing the title
