Throttle Body Synchronisation
Did this wee job yesterday with a set of Morgan Carbtune Guages.
Some photos linked below to show the before and after. As you can see it was well out. Biggest problem as everyone knows is accessing the vaccum points. I have left mine with the blanking caps fitted over the restrictors that were fitted for future ease of this task. Very noticeable difference to the running of the bike after this task was done. Well scraped the old hands and wrists getting to those vaccum points which is why I have tried leaving small sections of the tubes and the restrictors in situ. Just need to keep an eye on it to ensure that the tubes don't pop off but I reckon they should be OK. |
Re: Throttle Body Synchronisation
It's pretty obvious if they do fall off. I prefer to leave a bit of tube, but plug it with a bolt.

Re: Throttle Body Synchronisation
After you have adjusted the Throttle Sync you should check and adjust the Throttle Position Sensor, very easy to do. All you need is a few inches of electrical wire and a T25 security Torx bit. (At least I think the size is T25). There is a very detailed post on here including pics.

His reward for helping me? He gets to rev the bike whilst I play with the screwdriver. :D |
