Front + Rear Brake Calipers
Hi, just a quick question. I have a set of calipers at home, which i will be selling. They need a overhaul like new seals etc, so was wondering. Should i sell them as they are for cheap or spend £20 on them and put new seals in and clean the pistons so they tip top with new pins. The cost would be more, but they would be handy for someone for direct replacement. Could save someones time doing there own overhaul or paying shop prices. Let me know. Hooligan.
PS how on earth do you load multiple pictures or here, wanted to add to the show garage thread. Cheers |
Re: Front + Rear Brake Calipers
i dont really think many people are looking calipers at the min i have had a set for sale for a while now no interest in them really so you may be better 2 sell as they are if they even sell that is.

Re: Front + Rear Brake Calipers
£20 to re do the seals, thats bit cheap.. i ordered from wemoto and got a full set for a lot more then 20, front and back, thats 2 seals per pot, 6 pots and 1 set is an average of 7 - 8 sterling ... unless i got the shaft

Re: Front + Rear Brake Calipers
The only point of spending ?20 on seals is if you get ?20 extra, at least, for the calipers. You won't, so don't bother.

Re: Front + Rear Brake Calipers
wemoto do the front seals for 6.56 per piston which comes to 26.24 for the front calipers
and 7.97 per piston for the rear so that makes ?42.18 for complete front and rear seals plus whatever the postage is |
Re: Front + Rear Brake Calipers
So helpfull he confirmed it twice .... unlike the wemoto site, where i had to play 3 orders to get enough seals :(
