Welsh wonders
Hi all,
Yesterday afternoon me and a mate went out for a ride to Wales. From Brum, out through Kidderminster along the A456, then North up round Ludlow, stopped at Craven Arms for a cuppa, then hit the A489 west to Newtown, then A483 south to Llandrinod Wells, then A44 to get us back in to England, then home through Worcester. I've done a search and it seems the A483 is familiar to a lot of you who regularly ride round Wales but it was the first time I'd been out that way and I'm in love! :makelurve: We went up and down most of the length of it twice each way as it was so quiet and so amazing. A far cry from the roads near me! It took all my willpower to keep the speed nearly legal, as I've heard the cops aren't too forgiving in Wales, but we didn't encounter any. Bit of rain at times on the ride but all in all a cracking afternoon's ride. I will be returning there! Cheers, Matt |

 Venture further north, you will be very happy. I live here, so my tyres are well scrubbed.

Re: Welsh wonders
Better than the 483? Surely there is no better piece of road?!

Re: Welsh wonders
A483 from Newtown to Builth is pretty damn good it has to be said. But we have some pretty ace roads here to. My local bit of biking nirvana....
