Fitting 99-02 oem lower fairings
 

I just got my new OEM lower fairings repainted for my 01' and they are ready to install with all the necessary parts. The only problem is that i got them used and have no instructions. I can figure most of it out, but i believe you may have fidle with the suspension to get the extenders on.
Does anybody have any advice or experience with this, maybe even detailed pictures or instructions?

Post a picture of the brackets and fairings and we should be able to help.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I took more time to play around with it, and have figured out most of it ( no suspension fiddling after all - silly me).
I am posting pictures of the areas where i am not 100% sure as to how to mount and install the fairings. the main reason i am having this difficulty is because along with the parts i was given a jumble of nuts and bolts etc.. most of which don't even belong to the fairings, so i am not sure whats what.

Im not sure how the two fairings mesh together, anyone have a picture?

just the the mount by the shifter, all others i figured out.

I'm doing a service on Friday, so the lowers will have to come off. If you can wait till then, I can post some pics.

Right if i can remember

you have a bar looking thing. This mounts onto the front of the engine where the radiator lower mont is bolted to

You then have for brackets. 2 mount on the front engine mount bolts (Chrome infront of the main engine bolt)

Then one on one of the stand bolts and the other on the other side (I cant remember where exactly)

bought my fairing lowers a little while back and am in the process of repairing them, came with fitting kit and instructions(THanks Colby !!) the fitting for the left side rear is the TOP no 8 allen bolt on the side stand, remove the bolt fit the fairing bracket (short one) then replace the original allen bolt, job done! if you want i could try and photoshop the fitting book for you?

Dude, you would save my life with a picture or actual instruction!!

i was given a pile of nuts bolts etc... and have no idea how it could work:confused:

I know this thread's pretty old but I'd also appreciate it if anyone has the instructions for fitting these. Viney's post helps a little but still insure as to which bolts he's referring to

Currently spraying mine up to go back on, I`ll take some pics over the weekend, as my brackets need to go back on after powder coating.
